James Hinkle spent most of his childhood in Breckenridge, TX.  At the age of 7 he received Christ in the church where his dad preached.  At age 10 his family started traveling full time in their mission across the United States. James loved learning different instruments, he started with the mandolin, then later moved to the bass fiddle, and now he plays full time on the guitar.  He also does all the recordings for the Hinkle Family.

Kasey “Grills” Hinkle grew up in Newbern, TN.  She was 8 years old when she received Christ in church where her dad has preached for many years.  When she was 5 years old she started singing full time with her family.  At age 13 she started playing the piano full time at her home church.  One night after attending a youth revival she realized the Lord was leading her toward being a missionary one day.  Little did she know three years later God would send her James.  Kasey put 2 years of college behind her.  James and Kasey were married on December 22, 2010.  They have spent their whole married life on the road.  Kasey sings harmony for the Hinkle Family.

They have a son, James Henry Jr. that was born at the beginning of  December.
