Dear Friends and Supporters,       6-12-07

We are fast approaching the long, hot summer. Not my favorite time of year. I have a tendency to melt in high temperatures. Since we are doing more camping than before, I'm sure it is going to get warm. We are presently praying about our transportation. The cost of gasoline for our vans last year was approximately $35,000.00! This is by far our biggest expense. Paul has done some research and found a vehicle that gets 25 to 28 miles per gallon. This would cut our fuel expense by two thirds. We are looking at a 2007 Dodge Sprinter. We could all fit in one vehicle and still tow a small trailer if needed. Traveling in one vehicle would be much better fuel wise and also allow for driver relief while lessening cost of maintenance. The cost of this vehicle is $40,000.00, but the savings on fuel alone would enable us to pay for it in a relative short amount of time. Please pray with us that the Lord would help us work out the details. Our schedule has been busy but we have managed to include some fun things also. For example, we were given a tour of the Martin Guitar factory in Nazareth, Pa. James thought he died and went to heaven when he saw all of those guitars. They even had a room that had guitars you could play. I think he played everyone he could put his hands on. As most of you know James is very partial to his guitar. He has even named her “Matilda”!! Girls you better be careful she is jealous..We are presently in Reedsville, WV at Calvary Baptist Church. I know I always seem to be talking about food but I can't help it. There is a lady in this church that makes the best pork and sauerkraut in the whole world!!! Of course that pales in comparison to the wonderful services we have with our friends here at the church and in the Heartland nursing home. We will be in Fairmont, WV on Monday and Tuesday, then on to TN For Wednesday. We need to be back in Texas by the weekend for revival services there and then another set of meetings to follow in Omaha, AR. We are able to accomplish a lot during that time as we fill our days with nursing homes and then the church services at night. The week of the fourth of July we will be in Fayetteville, TN. We are looking forward to their yearly Family Camp. Last year our whole family from Florida ,Texas and West Virginia were able to be there along with all the folks from the church. It was a wonderful time. Anyone out there who has vacation, pack up your tent and come on along. (The kids can sleep in a tent, I'm sleeping in an air conditioned camper---I hope!!) Well enough for now--- Please keep our fuel and transportation needs in your prayers. We thank you for all your love and support!!

Till next time ------!!

P. S. As you may know this is the start of our sixth year traveling full time across the United States ministering to senior citizen. From 2001-2006 we have had the opportunity to minister in 3,700 programs, we have visited with approximately 316,496 people, and traveled around 724,002 miles. Just this year so far we have conducted 227 programs, ministered to 12,303 souls and traveled 59,402 miles proclaiming the love of Christ. We used to travel in a tour bus that was very old and needed a lot of repair. This last two years we have traveled in two Ford vans and have been camping in state parks, lodging in mission apartments, etc.... Now we have the opportunity to purchase a new, small bus that will seat the whole family and also haul our equipment. In 2006 we spent over $35,000.00 in fuel. We are now getting approximately 6 mpg combined with the two vans. The new bus we are about to purchase is being guaranteed to get 27.2 miles per gallon with our load. That is about a 1/4 of our normal cost in fuel expenses. At this time we can fill our tank with $100.00 for each van and go 420 miles. With the new transportation we would be able to travel 680 miles on $75.00 worth of gas and travel in only one vehicle. We believe very strongly this would be the way God wants us to go. Some churches and individuals have sent us monies in the last two years toward this purchase. The time for us to act is now. The bank will go so far with us, but we are still $5,000.00 short. We are asking folks to pray with us about their investment in the lives of the senior citizens we minister to. You have read our statistics, know the number of folks we have ministered to and know that we plan on ministering to many more in the future. Thanks so much for any and all help in this endeavor. ---- Butch Hinkle
