Dear Friends and Supporters,

I’m sure ya’ll think that the Hinkle Family must have “flown the coop”!!! It has been some time since we sent out a newsletter. Please accept my apologies. Sometimes we get so busy, some things just get left out. We have crossed the country several times in the last six months. Our new van is such a wonderful blessing. Even though the diesel fuel has doubled in price since we bought it, we are still saving money as opposed to the bus. We want to take the opportunity to thank all of you for your continued prayers and support of our ministry. The Lord has blessed us in so many ways through wonderful people like ya’ll. We especially want to thank Peggy from Greenville, TN. She scheduled all our meetings when we were there and also attended them with us. She is a retired schoolteacher and has a ministry to seniors in her area. She opened her home to us and treated us to a lovely picnic. We talked her into going to a baseball game with us and we had a grand time!!!

On a more serious note, our ministry has reached another milestone. During the month of June, on a Wednesday night at the Granbury Baptist Church in Granbury, TX, we conducted our 5,000th service in six and a half years!! We are still determined to keep on the road and with the Lord’s help we are looking forward to the next five thousand. The folks we meet are such a blessing. We try to emphasize patriotism in part of our program and the seniors response to this is always tremendous. It would make your heart fill with pride to see these folks react when they hear the first few bars of “God Bless America”. They take pride in their country and don’t want to see anything bad happen to it. Unlike so many of the younger generation who don’t care about anything except their own comfort and concerns!! Unfortunately there is a whole generation of folks out there who don’t have a clue what God and country is all about. So we feel it is our responsibility to visit as many as possible to encourage them and tell them how much the Lord loves them and to see them come to know the Lord, if they don’t already. You all help us to do that. Thank You. Thank You!!

August is Sarah’s Birth Month. She celebrates a whole month instead of one day like the rest of us. She politely informed us at the beginning of the month that she would be glad to start accepting gifts as of the first of August. Butch and I celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary in July. We were at a senior center in Pen Argyl, PA and he was telling the folks about our anniversary. On the front row was a couple holding hands and smiling and enjoying the program. Butch commented on how much in love they seemed and asked how long they were married expecting to hear them say fifty or sixty years. The gentleman looked at Butch and held up one finger! They had just been married one year. Butch responded by saying that no wonder they were still holding hands! Hahaha!

We love our ministry and feel it is a privilege that God allows us to do this. Praise the Lord ! He has much for us to do still!!!

Till next time ------!!                ….......  Roxann Hinkle
